1. Overview

SWARM (operated by SWARM DAO) is a decentralized, largely non-custodial service. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what we process and why.

2. What we process

• Public blockchain data — your wallet address, transactions, SAFE receipt, referral relationships, and commissions are recorded on a public blockchain. This is inherent to using the Service and is outside our control.
• Wallet connection data — when you connect a wallet (via WalletConnect/RainbowKit), your address and network are visible to the app.
• Eligibility / KYC data (if required) — for the Founding Round we may collect identity and accreditation information to meet legal requirements. Where collected, it is processed only for compliance and handled by us or a verification provider.
• Technical & usage data — basic logs, device/browser info, and aggregate analytics from our hosting/CDN (Vercel) and RPC providers.
• Cookies / local storage — we use local storage for app state (e.g., remembering a referral code) and minimal cookies needed to run the site.

3. What we do NOT have

We are non-custodial: we never hold your private keys or funds. We do not sell your personal data.

4. How we use it

To operate and secure the Service, process the Founding Round and referral commissions, meet legal/AML/KYC and tax obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product.

5. Sharing

We share data only with: infrastructure providers (e.g., hosting/CDN, RPC, wallet-connection, and—if used—identity verification); and authorities where legally required. Public blockchain data is, by nature, visible to everyone.

6. Retention & security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and apply reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and on-chain data is permanent and public.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data (off-chain only — on-chain records cannot be altered or erased). Contact us to exercise them.

8. International transfers & changes

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change.
